The Beginning of My Freelance Writing Career!

I've found 2 real money making opportunities!

I can officially call myself a freelance writer now. I'm up to $3.00 in earnings over at eHow, and I just sold two articles at TextBroker. I have earned a grand total of $8.00. Not enough to pay the bills...yet. But, it's an indication that freelance writing for the web is a real opportunity with lots of potential.

I'm very excited about my future as a freelance writer. I only wish I'd known about web writing sooner. I've seen the writing ads for years. I just ignored them and thought they all had to be scams. But, there are lots of real paying writing gigs out there.

I'll use this blog as an opportunity to tell you about real online writing opportunities, as well as let you know about other legitimate ways to make money outside of the regular 9-5 job. In the near future, I'll talk about mystery shopping, selling on ebay, transcription and more work-at-home and independent contractor opportunities.

Two legitimate writing opportunities are:

http://www.ehow.com/ This site requires some upfront work for a nice, regular passive income payday. You won't get rich. And a good passive income won't happen overnight, but you can make some serious money. You make money with eHow by publishing your original articles at http://www.ehow.com/. eHow then shares their ad revenue with you. Writing for eHow can be lucrative, because the site benefits from over 20 million visitors per month!

The important things to remember when writing for eHow is that it takes time for your articles to age and get hits, for best results--write and publish articles on a regular basis--one or two articles per day is a good goal. Also, you must study and learn about using keywords in your articles. The good use of keywords in your articles will make all the difference in how much your eHow articles earn. eHow is a legitimate writing opportunity. Many of eHow's most successful writers earn $300, $500--even over $1,000 per month in passive income! eHow pays you via Paypal and at this time can only pay US writers. And of course, it's FREE to sign-up--as any legitimate money making opportunity should be!

eHow is the one writing opportunity that excites me the most. I plan to write for eHow regularly to boost my passive income. I am keeping a separate blog devoted exclusively to my eHow journey. You can check out my earnings and strategy by visiting http://www.ehowchick.blogspot.com/

http://www.textbroker.com/ is another real opportunity. The site is very friendly and open to new writers. You'll be asked to provide a writing sample when you apply. If accepted, you'll have many articles in several categories to choose from. TextBrokers pays you per article. You earn no money from ad revenues, but earn a flat rate for each article you write. That's good news if you're in need of some fast cash. The articles are typically short and easy to write. Some of veteran TextBroker writers claim that they can write 10-15 articles per day. If you write 10 articles per day, based on a 5 day work week, you can expect to earn about $150.00 per week.

passive income: an income stream earned from doing something once or ahead of time, that continues to earn money with little or no effort required to maintain it.
